Sorry for the poorer quality on these photos. I don't carry the fancy camera around, so Jason snapped them with his phone. Doesn't he just look like the happiest boy? I'll tell you, there's not much that gets this dog down. He is the epitome of a creature who appreciates every moment. When I look at the scars criss-crossing his legs, neck, and face, all I can think is that he deserves every moment of joy.

Neptune or a Frog?
You might remember from this post that I bought Neptune a plastic baby pool and he wanted nothing to do with it. You would think that with a name like Neptune and a nickname like Tuna, he would be drawn to water simply out of principle. No such luck with the baby pool. So imagine our surprise when he just plopped right down in the creek at the park over the weekend. And he did his adorable pose where he puts his legs out behind him like a frog. Really, he could not be cuter. He would lay down and then excitedly get up and run around. Jason gets them pretty worked up in the field by the creek, but we have to be careful because in our new park, there is a park ranger that patrols constantly to ticket the guardians of off-leash dogs. The dogs do some good creek-jumping and Neptune has become a pro at coming when called. It's good practice for him and good reinforcement for Levi, who tends to be a giant stubborn asshole on walks.
